Peyton Manning's ESPY's Night Was a Success

Peyton Manning is a hard guy to dislike.

Even after facing off against Tom Brady and the Patriots for many years, it was always hard to “hate” Peyton Manning.

Yeah, you can say you hate him because you are supposed to hate your rival.

But even while he was playing against Brady and the Pats, most patriot fans would agree that Manning is a funny guy with a good personality.

That good personality and funny sense of humor were on full display last night as Manning hosted the 25th anniversary of the ESPY’s.

With a variety of self-deprecating jokes along with some friendly jabs at fellow athletes, such as Kevin Durant, Manning was hilarious all night.

In addition to a monologue that Manning delivered comfortably, he also performed different creative and hilarious skits.

For example, one skit depicted Manning hosting his first Super Bowl party. During the skit, Peyton showed that he was secretly rooting for the Falcons, even though he said that he had no rooting interest in the game.

Every skit was clever and right on point.

Now that Manning is off the field, it is easier to admit that we do actually like him.

After watching Bill Belichick and Brady say nothing every week for the last decade, it is refreshing to listen to an athlete, or now a former athlete, as personable and likable as Manning.

Although Manning’s playing career is over, he definitely has a future on TV if he wishes to pursue it.
