Could the Patriots Trade Tom Brady?

Nobody likes to think of the inevitable:  One day,  Tom Brady will not be in a Patriots uniform. It is hard to guess when this painful moment will present itself. One year? Two years? four or five years? Who knows for sure. But what you cannot overlook is the fact that Bill Belichick may end up trading Tom Brady. There are three possible ways that Brady’s tenure can end: 1. He can retire as a Patriot 2. He can sign with another team 3. He can get traded. Let’s examine the first option. Brady has said that he wants to play for a long time. If Brady ultimately retires as a Patriot, then this means that he will be with the Patriots for many more years. If he is with the Patriots for more than a couple of years, then the Pats will lose Jimmy Garoppolo to another team and may be stuck with no plan B for a quarterback after Brady leaves. For the Patriots to hold onto Brady this long, he would have to continue to play at such a high level that it would b

The Red Sox Are Must Watch Television

Since the All-Star break, the Red Sox have simply become must-watch television every single night. After having three comeback victories just in the last week alone, the Sox finally have the look of a championship team. This was not the case at the beginning of the season. In the beginning of the year, once the Sox were down late in the game, it was just about time to turn off your television. With two outs and runners in scoring position, no chance they would have a clutch hit. At least that was the fan perspective. However, since the addition of Eduardo Nunez and Rafael Devers, and, perhaps coincidentally, since Dustin Pedroia and David Price went on the DL, that narrative has changed. Not only have the Red Sox been on a tear, winning 13 out of their last 15 games, but they have been doing it in clutch moments. This was on full display Friday night against the Yankees. With two outs and a runner in scoring position, Mitch Moreland had a key pinch-hit

Adrian Beltre We Hardly Knew You

On Sunday afternoon, Adrian Beltre cemented his ticket into the Hall of Fame after recording his 3,000th hit. As a Red Sox fan, there can only be one thought: frustration. You have to be frustrated that the Sox allowed Beltre to walk and sign with the Texan Rangers after a phenomenal year with Boston in 2010. In 2010, Beltre signed with the Sox after playing for Seattle for five seasons and the Dodgers for seven years to begin his career. In 2009, Beltre had arguably the worst season of his career with the Mariners. He hit just .265 with 8 home runs and 44 RBI’s. He was also hurt and only played 111 out of 162 games. In 2010, Beltre had, what one would call, a “bounce back year.” I would say so. That year, Beltre hit .321 with 28 home runs, 102 RBI’s and a career-high 49 doubles. He also played gold glove type defense. It was an MVP quality year. For whatever godforsaken reason, the Sox did not re-sign Beltre. Maybe they thought he could not play as
